Distance in color scheme butterflies
Swim inside him taking another,
Years pass, ants drowned in soap water.
I move a mile in inch space and clatter
Snoring sounds of non committal engagements.
I in trance ….
In stop watches
Lemon Drops
there are no toys under the water
just your toes.
The silence of children swimming
across my bedroom window
louder as they grow younger
and squirrels dance above my head
moving boxes of footsteps
I lay unwilling
to squander pollution
through my lens
and the mustache inside my throat
they dance in the piano
the keys bent like a broken mandolin
where they come in as I keep
my distance far away inside
nails that scratch my aria into broken crystal lemon drops
